I really enjoy painting nocturnes and in this piece I wanted to capture the deep colors of the ski slope above brightly-lit Aspen. Notice how the rhythm of the mountain's trees and trails relate and contrast the labyrinth of snow-covered roofs and illuminated buildings and trees of town. What a special place!
