Kevin Marcus
Kevin Marcus was born in Santa Monica, California and grew up roadtripping with family all over the western United States. At a very young age, Kevin developed deep interests in history and photography, which he pursued in college at Brooks Institute of Photography as a young adult. Kevin’s photographic heroes define “straight photography”. Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, and Morley Baer are just a few of the artists Kevin draws inspiration from. Kevin has developed his own film and made his own dark room prints, learning the art and science of photography from the ground up. He has also used medium and large format film cameras in addition to his current digital workflow. He currently practices a digital version of the Zone System for both black & white and color photography and is usually found on the road, seeking the light.
