Cotton Candy Skies over Aspen - Oil on Canvas

Winter sunsets in the mountains give me chills! I love this composition, and that tiny chairlift brings such joy. The contrast of the ski runs against the dark trees has a fabulous musicality, and this specific glowing light is a quintessential visual treat in Aspen. The painting allows the fleeting beauty of the moment to be enjoyed far longer than any real sunset lasts.
